Data Management Plan Database

A Data Management Plan (DMP) describes how you will manage, store, secure, document, and share research data. DMPs can vary broadly across disciplines, methodologies, and data types. DMPs are a growing requirement for grants, and can also guide data practices for individuals and teams. DMP Assistant is a free webtool that guides you through drafting your DMP and the easiest way to start building a DMP.

Our database gathers examples from across the world including DMPs from the Digital Research Alliance of Canada, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Qualitative DMP Competition, DataOne, Digital Curation Centre, Liber, the Working Group on NIH DMSP Guidance, and UC San Diego Research Data Curation into one searchable, open-access platform.

TU Delft; Working Group on NIH DMSP Guidance
This DMP aims to collect data to evaluate how people behave when placed in "moral choice situations."
UMC Utrecht
This DMP aims to collect quantitative human healthcare data from approximately 300 participants. This data will be used to provide an overview of surgical procedures for patients with clefts.
Leiden University; Working Group on NIH DMSP Guidance
This is a DMP template for researchers at Leiden University, The Netherlands. It has a checkbox format instead of a paragraph format which could be useful for certain researchers.
Delft University of Technology; LIBER
This data management plan from LIBER aims to develop methods to reduce uncertainty in the quantification of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) results.
Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.; Working Group on NIH DMSP Guidance
This DMP aims to collect clinical and demographic data to better understand the association between balance deficits and urinary tract infections as well as low back pain.
Delft University of Technology; LIBER
This is a data management plan from LIBER regarding the IPER-MAN project which intends to study sources of noise in aeroacoustics to design and prototype wind tunnel inserts.
UMC Utrecht
This DMP aims to collect blood samples and EPD samples, in order to investigate the clinical performance of a liquid biopsy test.
Utrecht University
This DMP aims to collect clinical health data from electronic records from approximately 400-500 patients. The relationship between the size of the preoperative radiological tumor and the size of the lumpectomy after surgery will be examined using this data.
Delft University of Technology; LIBER
This DMP aims to collect environmental, geographic, and population level data from 6 metropolitan areas to reduce space waste and optimize living area.
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam
This DMP aims to collect observational data, text data, audio, fieldnotes, interview data, images, literature reviews, and exhibition/display analyses. The aim of this project is to use the mentioned data to analyze the practices of institutional decolonization.
Delft University of Technology; LIBER
This data management plan from LIBER aims to develop a plan to manage data for a project that intends to develop methods and technologies for "redesigning the value and supply chain of water and minerals."
